Unlocking the Future of Student Loyalty: A Barnes and Noble Redesign
Imagine standing before your professor, ready to present a project that could be the defining moment of your academic career. For my final presentation in one of the most pivotal courses of my major, I crafted an innovative school project that reimagines the way Barnes and Noble connects with students, one of the retailer's most valuable demographics. Using design platforms like Canva and Photoshop, I presented a revamped student membership program, featuring a dynamic new rewards system and exclusive discounts tailored to the needs of today’s college students.
But I didn’t stop there. I dove deep into data analysis, uncovering a goldmine: an untapped segment of younger college students who have yet to fully embrace the retailer. To engage this group, I designed a visually striking in-app screenshot that displayed the upgraded membership features, as well as a sleek Instagram post aimed at capturing their attention. These fresh ideas aren’t just about increasing app usage, they're about building lasting brand loyalty among a new generation of college students, all while staying aligned with Barnes and Noble's broader marketing strategy.
Through this project, I not only demonstrated my design skills and analytical prowess but also my ability to think strategically and create solutions that resonate with real-world challenges. I believe this presentation not only captured the essence of what I’ve learned but also delivered a forward-thinking proposal that could genuinely enhance Barnes and Noble’s market position.
Food Security Insights: A Marketing Analytics Study on College Student Behaviors
For my Marketing Analytics course, I had the exciting opportunity to dive into a research project focused on food insecurity and eating habits among college students across the United States. The objective was to uncover the factors driving food insecurity, explore students' food choices, and evaluate their use of food assistance programs. Data tells the best story, it’s based on facts shaped by human behavior, and while the analysis process may not always seem thrilling at first, once you delve into it, new perceptions and insights begin to unfold.
To gather data, I designed and deployed a survey using Qualtrics, uncovering valuable insights that revealed hidden patterns and areas for potential improvement. I then analyzed the results using IBM SPSS, meticulously cleaning and processing the data to identify key correlations and assess their significance. The innovative aspect of this project was discovering how data could truly illuminate new perspectives on an important societal issue. To bring these insights to life, I crafted a visually engaging presentation with Canva and PowerPoint, which I delivered to a class of 300 students, sharing my findings and innovative recommendations for tackling food insecurity on college campuses.
